Anyone ever have their coax cable melt and almost catch on fire? Last
night I had that happen to me...my tv cables were all connected
through two cable splitters, and one splitter got burning hot to the
touch, and then eventually caused one of the cables to burn up. I have
the cables going to a comcast cable box as well as a comcast cable
modem box. There was a thunderstorm the other night, but I also have
been having problems with that one splitter that burned up. The
comcast people told me that there's no way that could've happened
because their cables do not have any electricity in them...and I told
them that they should come over and see my melted cables. And idea as
to why this might have happened? I'm trying to figure out how to avoid
this again...
thanks,
Kim
